If you plan on visiting the wineries during your stay, Hacienda Sonoma is in the best location possible!

We're in the heart of the Sonoma Valley Wine Region, our vacation rental home is within walking distance to many wineries,

located less than  two blocks from Highway 12 in a quiet and peaceful residential setting.

It's the best of both worlds -- "sophisticated country living" that's quiet and relaxed, but a short walk to all that Wine Country

has to offer: great food, fine wine, gorgeous views, and hundreds of fun activities, should you seek them.

Our vacation rental home was built in 2008 -- professionally designed and beautifully decorated, every detail has been thoughtfully

considered with wonderful weekends in mind.  We wanted a place where we could cook and entertain friends,

golf and spa, get away to the peace and simplicity of a quiet and beautiful setting, where the kids could have a ball,

and where we could walk to our favorite wineries or go out for a nice dinner without having to drive.

Great wine and driving don't mix, and with this home, they don't have to.

Large, professional kitchen with appliances and cookware, worthy of a gourmet chef (including two dishwashers to minimize drudgery!).  Check out the Sonoma Farmers' Market and be inspired!  We stock many basic kitchen items such as coffee, sugar, olive oil, salt, pepper, tea, paper towels, foil, etc., so your first order of business doesn't have to be an emergency run to the grocery store for coffee the next morning. (We once rented a vacation home that didn't even stock salt and pepper, and that bugged us!)  Speaking of groceries, our local Safeway grocery store http://shop.safeway.com will deliver right to the kitchen if you shop online prior to your arrival.  Pick fresh herbs from our garden, lavender for one of our pretty vases, or  peaches, figs and oranges from the trees in our Mediterranean garden when in season.

Three bedrooms and three baths.  In the Garden Suite bedroom, French doors open to a private garden.  There is a two-sided fireplace in this room; one side faces the king-sized bed, the other side faces a 2-person soaking tub.  In addition, the en-suite bathroom has two separate sink vanities, a make-up vanity, and a luxurious travertine shower.  Tons of elbow room.

The Zinfandel Room looks out to the vineyard, and has a massive cherry wood and leather king-sized sleigh bed, it's own spacious bathroom with soaking tub and travertine shower, separate enclosed toilet room, and extra make-up area.

The Camp Fire Room upstairs is decorated in an outdoor forest theme complete with little camping lanterns and a faux indoor "campfire." This room contains three twins total (one bed has a trundle "drawer" that pulls out below).  This room is huge!  Just outside this room is a sofa with a pull-out queen bed, and downstairs is a pull-out twin.  This home sleeps 8 very comfortably.

Incredibly comfortable king-sized Beautyrest pillow top mattresses, high-end linens, soft pillows, and thick drapes when you want to catch up on some extra sleep.  We chose our lovely matelassé quilts because they can be washed in extra-hot water right along with the sheets -- maybe we're a little picky, but "occasionally washed" hotel comforters are not something we like to think about.

Five chandeliers romantically light the outside entertaining patio with built-in gas grill, vineyard views, bocce court, outdoor living space with sofa and chairs, and an outdoor dining table seating 8.

All three bathrooms are lavishly tiled in travertine, and contain separate make-up areas, enclosed toilet-rooms, plenty of mirrors and outlets, and lots of elbow room. Perfect for relaxing "Girls' Weekends!"

A large indoor dining table seats 8, and beautiful serving pieces will make your meals special.

    Two romantic fireplaces.

Cozy radiant heat in the beautiful decorative concrete floors, as well as a traditional furnace and central air conditioning.

A tankless water heater offers unlimited hot water.

Our upstairs bar is a great place to entertain later in the evening when our quiet residential setting would prohibit late-night noise; the pool table, 10-foot hand-carved bar, and state-of-the-art sound system — all create the perfect atmosphere for fun.  Bring your iPod,

and you can listen to your own play lists throughout the home, or listen to a wide variety of XM Radio stations.  Each room in the home

can be individually controlled.  Our bar area also features a 50" plasma T.V. with 150 DIRECTV channels, a DVR and DVD player

with Blu-ray, and an assortment of movies to choose from.

Another small T.V. will accommodate a game system, and the attached VCR comes with baskets of kid's movies.  A redwood play

structure in the backyard, two great community parks within two blocks, a skateboard park within 5 miles, and a community pool just a couple miles away are all perfect for keeping the kids entertained.  We also have lots of board games and puzzles for all ages!  See our "Local Info." page for more details regarding Six Flags and beach activities, both within an easy drive.

Should you desire an on-site massage, facial, babysitting, or even a personal chef, we will be happy to provide contact information.
